Transformation doesn’t happen by chance, it requires a conscious choice to head in a new direction. When you decide you want to unlock your full potential, you get to ask yourself, “What’s next?” and then find an answer to that question that you love.
If you feel yourself at that kind of crossroads…
And you know you want more out of your life…
You’re in the right place, and joining forces with a coach can help you move forward with intention and focus — while making your growth journey fun.
I became obsessed with figuring out ‘what was next’ when I was just 12 when my family moved to the US from Kenya.
I had to tap into an extraordinary power within myself. I had to evolve. I had to adapt. Out of necessity, I became extremely resourceful and learned how to navigate unfamiliar territory. I let go of old ways of doing things that didn’t work in this new foreign land.
Changing your life isn’t all that different! In order to leave one version of yourself behind and shift into a new one, you’ve got to let go of fears, old patterns of behavior, and limiting beliefs.
Hi, I’m Lul Haji, a licensed mental health professional and Certified Professional Life Coach with more than 13 years of experience and more than 6 certifications including Integrated Attachment Theory certification, Clinical hypnotherapy, Certified Eye Movement Desensitization and reprocessing, Certified Dialectical behavioral therapy, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment.
Throughout my own life and extensive training I’ve learned how and where we pick up these limiting beliefs about ourselves early on in life. Those beliefs get practiced on a daily basis over decades of our lives. They become a sort of home to us.
Some of those beliefs hurt us more than they help us. You might have gotten the message as a kid that you’re not good enough, not lovable, or shouldn’t intrude by taking up space in your family, school, or friend groups.
These beliefs go on to limit you to a life where you are ‘well behaved’ according to others yet unhappy and uncomfortable within yourself.
The result? Dissatisfying relationships, unfulfilling work, and a life that isn’t everything you know it could be.
Many limiting beliefs are related to attachment wounds or in other words, they are intertwined with how you build a relationship with yourself and with others. And everything in life depends on relationships. In fact, studies have shown that the quality of our relationships are the strongest predictor of how happy we are in life.
When attachment wounds are running the show, we struggle with imposter syndrome, distraction, boredom, fear of higher levels of success, and fear of failure. Cycles of people pleasing, performing, and perfectionism keep us from experiencing authentic connections personally, professionally, romantically, and platonically.
No matter how much effort we put in, we can’t seem to get the peace, satisfaction, and purpose out that we so deeply desire!
Many of my clients with attachment wounds and limiting beliefs about themselves have achieved great success in some area of their lives — but they often feel stuck or blocked from achieving the things that are most important and meaningful to them. In coaching, we find the roots of this self-sabotage together.
Here’s what I want you to know: no matter how privileged or marginalized you are, no matter how educated or street-smart you are, no matter how accomplished or a work-in-progress you are — you’re still a whole person with thoughts and feelings and challenges to overcome! And all people deserve help meeting their unique needs and overcoming obstacles to the life they desire no matter how ‘big’ or ‘small’ they might seem.
Once our survival level needs are met in our hierarchy of needs, we get to move on to higher levels of satisfaction in life and sometimes those are the places we struggle most. We feel unworthy, isolated, and like our challenges are invisible. This is where a coach can help.
Coaching is an action-oriented approach to life change where we can:
- Shift limiting beliefs and blocks keeping you in cycles of stress
- End the blame game for your past mistakes and intentionally move forward
- Gain powerful tools to shift you out of self-sabotaging behaviors
- Support you falling in love with yourself to improve every area of your life
- Reignite the feeling of fun and excitement in dating again
- Open you up to experiences of depth and unconditional love in your relationships
Today, I support a diverse client base, yet they all have something in common — they’re venturing into the world of a new version of themselves. Whether they need support in their life, relationships, or career, I help them find the inner and outer resources they need to decide and create ‘what’s next’ in their lives.
Attachment and relationship coaching, career coaching, and stress management coaching are my areas of specialty and I work with individuals and couples in private coaching sessions. I am bi-lingual and offer all of my services in Somali and English.
It would be an honor to guide you into your next step in your personal or professional life. I hope we get a chance to connect and plan for your potential so you can live in your purpose!

My parents didn’t know English and couldn’t help me navigate this foreign land they were stumbling through. And as their eldest daughter, I felt responsible for caring for my family by learning the ropes and then teaching them everything I had discovered. And while it was a lot to carry, my ambitious and eager young mind was always hungry to figure out a way forward. The best part, though, was bringing others along with me.
I learned the language, made connections, and found others who helped me through my grade school years and career. I went on to attend grad school in North Dakota and began work in Rural Minnesota after earning my master’s degree.
Once again, I found myself in a position to help others transition into a foreign land they weren’t yet equipped for. I worked with young adults ages 18-24 who were transitioning out of foster care into adult life in their rural communities. I was their life coach, guiding them through learning basic life skills, developing personal confidence, and finding housing, education, and employment opportunities. They needed to ‘learn the ropes’ of adulthood, just as I had when I moved to a new country.
The transformations I saw in my work were tangible. People were getting the resources they needed to fulfill their potential. And in the process, I could feel my purpose flourishing, too.
Today, I support a diverse client base, yet they all have something in common — they’re venturing into the world of a new version of themselves. Whether they need support in their life, relationships, or career, I help them find the inner and outer resources they need to decide and create ‘what’s next’ in their lives.
